Race registration as well as race briefing will take place on Thursday 23 April, Friday 24 April and Saturday 25 April 2015. Full details relating to registration times and race briefings will be confirmed closer to the time.

All participants have the option to enter 2 distances:

Sprint distance

Swim: 500m WETSUIT COMPULSORY swim in Quay 6 starting in waves. The swim leg will take place regardless of water temperature and necessary safety plans will be in place for various water temperatures.

Cycle: 20km DRAFT LEGAL cycle leg consisting of laps. Athletes will cycle towards the Sea Point Pavilion Swimming pool along Beach Rd and return to the Waterfront via Helen Suzman Blvd.

Run: 5km run leg consisting of laps in and around the Waterfront and Green Point precinct.

  • Individual Sprint (Minimum Age 16 on 31 Dec 2015)
  • Team Sprint (Minimum age 12 on 31 Dec 2015)
  • School Sprint Individual Entry (Minimum Age 16 on 31 Dec 2015)
  • School Sprint Team Entry (Minimum age 12 on 31 Dec 2015)
  • Corporate Team Challenge (Minimum Age 16 on 31 Dec 2015)

Race Pack

  • Swimming Cap - Different colour caps are used to identify the various start waves.
  • Bag - To place your clothes, in before the start of the race that you want at the finish.
  • Belt - To attach your race number to. This belt clips on easily in transition and is turned around between the cycle and run leg so that athletes can be identified at all times.
  • Race Number, identity band and various stickers to mark equipment - These ensure that you are able to identify all of your equipment and so that officials, announcers and cameramen are able to identify you on the route.
  • Timing Chip - This is worn around your left ankle so that it is not caught in the chain ring of your bicycle. It provides accurate splits of the various sections of the course.
  • Athlete Guide – A comprehensive guide giving you information on event timetables, rules, and race routes.
